It is a story about all. Beauty.
Some of us like the sunshine and to be under its direct heat. Some of us need a shadow to show the inner soul. Some are required just extra light to express our individuality. Some of us bright and show all the specter of emotions. Some of us shy and struggle with the confidence. Some of us kind and share the peacefulness. Some of us rude and may cause harm.
We are all different.
And all the same.
We are alive.
And ready for AWAKENING.
My aim in photography is to put down on final image what I see and what I feel in the best and simplest way. Something which is easy to understand or explain is simple, in contrast to something complicated. In some uses, simplicity can be used to imply beauty, purity or clarity.
The main themes in Awakening Garden project are revival of natural interests and attentions, recognition and realisation, freedom, desire, the idea of the beauty of primitive way of life, detaching from technological and cultural developments that allowed for a more organic rhythm and equilibrium with nature.
This desire for a new simplicity of life was further connected with the idea of primitive flower drawings allowing art to become a symbol of authenticity and freedom.
I really believe that the simplest things are often the truest. Don’t be fooled, though, into thinking that this child-like drawings that our models created are in any way simplistic. It’s wide, deep and pure vision of life we all are trying to achieve and feel.
Once again I would like to thank all the team involved. I’m grateful to each of you for having this opportunity to show the beauty of our Algarve region and local residents.
